I love Wednesdays. My schedule this semester allows me to have no day classes Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, which allows me plenty of time to be productive. What makes Wednesdays so great is that I start my day with Chapel at 10 a.m. and then have time afterwards to think and reflect. It's all too easy to listen and learn during chapel, and then forget it in the business of going to class.
Today after Chapel I was able to meet with my prayer partner, Bailey, to talk about what we had been learning and also spend time praying together. It was such an encouragement! The speaker in Chapel talked about living a life of prayer and what that looks like. We were able to put the message into practice right away! Being able to reflect and share with someone else about my struggles, praises, and fears is always an experience that brings growth. It truly is a blessing to be in a environment that encourages us to live a life of prayer both as individuals and as a community.

Back to the Swing of Things

There's a strange feeling about being back at school. After four weeks of break, in which little productivity happened, I think I might have forgotten what school is like. Classes, homework, tests, projects- they seem like such foreign concepts. I'm sure once I receive all my syllabi the reality of school and how busy I will be will hit me. Can't wait for that to happen! Or maybe I can.
So far I've been to four out of my six classes and after one class period in each I am proud to say I'm doing well. In all seriousness though, I am really looking forward to my classes. They all offer something different which will keep me on my toes. I think the class I am most excited about is Principles and Practices of Prayer. It's not a required class, but I heard such great things about it that I had to take it! A whole class devoted to develop a life of prayer! It will definitely have some ups and downs, as does everything in life, but I am sure this could be one of the most beneficial classes I will every take.
