I didn't eat a stitch of turkey OR stuffing this weekend! :)
I was really excited about that, because I've never liked either one. Now, don't hate me for that, all you fans out there, everyone's entitled to their preference. But I had a great Thanksgiving, with a lot of reminders to be thankful for what I have. And to all at Grace College who are starting the long three-week haul left in school, you can do it!!!
I'm excited to be back from Thanksgiving to finish up strong. I have a performance in Opera Scenes next weekend, and vocal and instrumental juries the weekend after that, and then finals week. As for Thanksgiving break, I hope everyone had an amazing time with their closest relationships this weekend, and my wish is that you truly appreciate each and every minute you get with your loved ones. I'm from California, and my two younger sisters bought plane tickets with their own hard-earned money to come visit their siblings who all happen to be here in the midwest. It was such a treat, I LOVE YOU BECCA AND SARAH!!! :) We had a lot of fun and it makes me look forward to Christmas time even more.
People, I'm telling you, it's all about relationships...not education, not careers, not fame or success. The relationships I've made here in college, the ones I've kept from back home, the ones I continue to develop in my family, and the one I continually deepen with my God are the best gifts I could ever ask for. And so, this Thanksgiving, I am very thankful! Now finish strong to the end... :)
